In addition to the above, I've also heard my fair share of anecdotal stories about just how bad fertility sex can be including (and I kid you not), "I don't care if he has to put a bag over my head and watch gay porn, just so long as can get off when he needs to."
I don't know whether to laugh or cry, but I know it's NOT healthy!
In traditional Chinese medicine and holistic health good sex, intimacy and orgasm are all important contributors (although not necessary to do at once!) to holistic balance, health and fertility. Yet when it comes to fertility, talking about the actual act of sex, enjoying your body, your partner, having orgasms, communication (really ANYTHING related to this topic) is quite possibly one of the first things to be burned on the alter of fertility.
Women work on their diets, breathing, exercise, supplements, cervical mucus, sleep, stress reduction, their eggs, their lining, (their partner's sperm), and so much more but low sex drive, stressful sex, performance anxiety (on both sides) are assumed to be inescapable.
This month's mini-retreat is here to change all that. While it is understandable that when sex becomes a means to an end and associated with failure there is going to be stress around it, there are ways to bring back intimacy, connection (with yourself and each other) and offset the stress in positive and pleasurable ways.
