Although I've never watched it 3 times in one week I have watched it about once every 2-4 months since 1999...is that crazy?! BTW there is a 10th anniversary edition out now with an extra bonus disc for all you fans out there:
http://www.amazon.com/Pride-Prejudice-10th-Anniversary-Collectors/dp/B000F0UUT6

Oh, and if you like the P&P/Bridget Jones adaptation you might like to compare and contrast Emma and Clueless they are both based on Jane Austen's Novel Emma...

I also must say Sense & Sensibility (directed by Ang Lee) is also an incredible movie version of a Jane Austen Novel! Okay...I think I have to go watch one of these :)

-nicoleNicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13531841368735786230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3881814767329709054.post-40439979192660938452007-08-24T18:56:00.000-07:002007-08-24T18:56:00.000-07:00LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 5 hour version of Pride & Pre...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 5 hour version of Pride & Prejudice. A couple of years ago, in a period of 2 months, one of my closest friends was watching this version of P&P 2-3 times a week, thats 15 hours a week! Needless to say I thought she was a little crazy, until I watched the movie and fell in love with Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth and all the characters myself. I then went on to read the book and soon discovered that one of my other favorite movies, Bridget Jones' Diary, was based on Pride and Prejudice. I love Colin Firth in both the 5 hour version of P&P as Mr. Darcy and also as Darcy in Bridget Jones' Diary. In my eyes there is no other Mr. Darcy besides Colin. Mr. Darcy in the 2005, 2 hour version with Keira Knightley does not even come close to comparing to Colin Firth.Cindy Vander Schaaffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03194422277190395307noreply@blogger.com
